Clearspring Organic Japanese Loose Kukicha Roast Twig Tea is from select twigs and stems of the tea bushes harvested late in the season when the plant’s caffeine levels are at their lowest. The twigs are steamed, dried aged to develop their flavour, then roasted and mixed with a small portion of roasted tea leaves.

For the perfect brew, add 3 heaped tablespoons of tea per cup in a teapot. Add 1 litre of boiled water and steep for 2-3 minutes. For a stronger flavour, steep for 3-5 minutes
