Traditional short buckwheat tagliatelle pasta (pizzoccheri) from Lombardy in Italy. The “Pastificio di Chiavenna” was born as a mill in 1868 in the centre of Chiavenna along the river Mera, the river water being exploited to produce the energy required to move both the millstones and the machines of the mill to produce this pasta. Today, the business runs on clean, green energy coming from the hydroelectric plant of Valtellina and produces a range of Moro brand buckwheat products inspired by local tradition. The company celebrated it’s 150 birthday in late 2018!
