Tiptree’s Mulberry Jelly is made from mulberries grown in a small orchard at the back of the factory. The trees are as much as 150 years old and some young tree planted recently are expected to bear fruit within 20 years or so. Our ancient Mulberry trees at Tiptree provide a rather erratic crop of this rich and much prized fruit. The delicate berries stain hands when picking which is where the term “caught red handed” originates from, as it’s rather obvious if somebody has picked a juicy Mulberry! There is nothing quite like the flavour of Mulberry Jelly. The unique taste of the fruit in the soft texture of the jelly lets it almost melt in your mouth.
